I began tinkering and creating props many years ago for myself and my children. I have been in the industrial and mechanical field for many years, which I hope shows in my work. I like to create pieces that look functional even though they usually are not with a practical aged look. Hence, my progression primarily into Steampunk.
My first actual creation produced for the purpose of selling was Thor’s Mythical Hammer, Mjolnir in 2011. I had wanted to make one for years. It was kind of a mash up of the comic book version and the mythical version combined. At that time hardly anyone was building anything like this. Scaled way too big, but still a learning experience, it did eventually sell after several years and some re modifications. I also made several other versions and sizes shortly after that first one which proved to be popular. Then, moving onto spears, axes, and other medieval weapons.
At about that point I decided to make Buster Sword from FFVII. Again, at that time no one was really producing a “good” replica of this iconic weapon and again it proved to be really popular.
Many other weapons and items alike were produced in my shop after this with the Steampunk bug finally infecting me full force. I still do a variety of items from different genres, but I really enjoy the Steampunk aesthetic the most. The mechanical aspects, textures, colors etc. are all very appealing to me.
My wife, Daphne, has joined me recently and this site features some of her work as well. She has also been creating for years.
